My wedding experience has been 5 years in the making and many people would think that this "job" would have gotten boring and mundane over time. Wow, they are so wrong. I've truly seen my fair share of wedding days and I feel myself falling more in love with this industry more and more every day! I feel so honored that couples across the midwest {and beyond} have trusted me to capture the memories of their special day!

We chose this venue because it was not only breathtaking everywhere you looked but also because it reminded Tim and I of home. We were both raised in the country and had farms nearby. We said from the beginning that we wanted somewhere that was beautiful and classic country. With Ladders and Lace we got that and so much more! We loved the fact that they had cows on their land and that the rolling hills gave away so much natural beauty! We couldn’t have imagined getting married anywhere else!

I tried on SOOO many dresses that day. They were all pretty but I had a hard time feeling like any were perfect for the big day. Just when I was getting discouraged I found “the dress”. I felt like a bride and wanted to walk out of the store with it on! My entourage immediately knew it was the one also. The dress also happened to be in my size and on sale!

In planning a winter wedding we knew we wanted a pop of color that fit with the season but also added depth to our wedding day. We got exactly that by pairing maroon and navy. The combo was gorgeous and we loved how we were able to use those colors throughout our day to pull everything together! My dress was off white so the rich tones complimented it beautifully!
