ALAINA KRISTINE

meet

Without sounding cliche, my journey into photography started years ago.  In middle school actually. My best friend and I would dream about someday opening a studio and decorating it in early 2000's teen decor (obviously a terrible idea). There have been bumps in the road but it has always been my heart.

MY STORY

Like I said, this dream developed quite early. It was fueled by Kodak disposable cameras and embarrassing photos of myself and my dear friend, Kali.

In high school I was able to take several art classes and was a member of the Yearbook and Newspaper's staff. I got to have a few fun photo shoots with the school issued camera. I knew that I loved holding that camera in my hand. But as my high school career pressed forward I felt this daunting feeling of needing to go into a field that would ensure I "made money". So I put my love for photography on the back burner and hoped for the best.

That was in 2011 (!!!). Today, I am in my 7th year of business and so thankful for the two years after high school that gave me the courage to give this a go.

InkJoy Gel Pens are the current favorite, but I keep plenty of options close by! They are the perfect way to prettify a to do list, mark in my calendar or just doodle!

I've come to realize you can't go wrong with a peaceful night in. Cozied up on the couch with my boys and watching a movie. if it were up to me it would always be a RomCom. But sometimes I take one for the team and watch something else.

MOVIE NIGHTS

Not just a food for movie watching, though its usually piled high during any movie night. I'm not sure when this obsession began but I typically have a bag a day.

if you've spent any amount of time following me on social media you know I have a deep love for CFA!! Chances are, I've stopped for lunch on my way to your wedding!

Christmas, birthdays, showers. You can find me scouring Pinterest trying to find a wrapping idea. I love intricate details and pretty name tags. Once I wrapped all Christmas in newspaper and pretty red and green ribbon. Most recently, I added the recipients name in calligraphy to each gift.

I admit, this makes me look like a pre-schooler but I have a serious love for these little gummies! The blue ones are my favorite! I buy them "for Grayson", but in all honesty, they're for me!

While I don't keep them in the house near often enough, I love a fresh bouquet of florals. Simple or elaborate, I love what they add to my house arranged in a cute white pitcher!
