“I know this is late, but could you give me a call in the morning?”

This is the message I got from Shaye last week. As you might imagine I thought the worst. I got ahold of them and she assured me that all was well, they had just had a slight change of plans! By “slight” I mean they decided to ELOPE and wanted to know if I was available Friday! 10,000%  yes, I would be there, no hesitation! Ahh!!

Shaye and Russell were originally scheduled to say “I do” in May and I was going to get to capture their day. Ultimately they decided there was no reason to wait and they quickly rallied their closest family and made absolute magic happen. There were flowers, a beautiful wedding cake, a gorgeous bride and a handsome groom…. what more do you need? *I will say that the steak served at there intimate reception was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted, so you might need that too*

There were too many special moments from this day. Shaye’s grandma and honorary maid of honor asking, during the ceremony, if Russell took her too. Shaye’s family putting together a little memorial for Russell’s mother who had passed away recently. And last but not least, the way the Riley family absolutely and wholly embraced adding a new member to their close-knit family.

Seriously, this day couldn’t have been more perfect and fit for a more deserving couple! Russell and Shaye, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to share this day with you! I know you have seen these images already but my hope is that you will cherish this blog entry for years to come!
