You read the header right, y’all! Emma came to SoIL all the way from KANSAS! How cool is that!? She wanted photos with her bestie/cousin that lives here so what better way than to make a trip and make it happen!
Getting to know Emma and her mom, Kerri, was so much fun! We made lots of jokes, laughed a whole lot, and even worked on our fake giggles. She was a PRO by the end of her session!
We took advantage of the family’s connection to a beautiful venue, The Big Red Barn, in Hamilton County as well as the gorgeous iron fencing around Mcleanboro’s Public Library! Not to mention that quick stop on the side of the road for those gorgeous fuchsia blooms… Can’t say I regret some of the stares we received or the scary dog that sounded like he could really hurt us.
Moral of this whole blog post is that Emma can come back ANY TIME SHE WANTS! The sweet smiles and killer “serious face” (that not many can pull off) made for some of my favorite portraits to date!
