Justin & Krista – A Jewel Toned Sweet Pecan Farm Wedding

When I was first contacted by Krista about shooting her day, it was to replace their first photographer who had found out she was expecting too close to their wedding day to feel comfortable keeping them on the books. I was happy to step in and offer my services. Little did I know, about two weeks later, I found out I was expecting. Due just two(ish) weeks after Krista and Justin were set to say “I do”. When I chatted with Krista about how this would or wouldn’t affect their day, I was so amazed by how sweet she was. So incredibly happy for my family was her first and foremost reaction. What a dream client!!!!!

Fast forward to their wedding day and Justin and Krista continued to show just how special of a couple they were. You could tell that their top priority was spending the day with family and friends. Their ceremony included Krista’s brother as the officiant, her cousin read a lovely poem and the reception was jammed packed with family on the dance floor (lots of which came all the way from NEW YORK, and were way too excited to hear STL lost Saturday nights playoff game).

My favorite part about the client experience my couples recieve is that by the end of their wedding night, we seem to feel more like friends and a lot less like a client and a provider of a specific service. Since their wedding day, Krista has spent more time checking in on me and baby than I could have ever imagined. She allowed me some time to rest and get her blog post to her a day late. WOW. How blessed am I to have a client turned friend like that?!

Justin and Krista, thank you for everything. You two will always and forever hold a special place in my heart!

Lots of love,

Alaina
