Zach & Kylie | A Rend Lake Wetlands Enagagement

This engagement session and couple in general are a little atypical for me. Normally the couples I work with are friends of past brides/grooms who have seen my work. Not these two. Zach was my brother’s age and attended Kindergarten-12th grade with him. So I’ve literally seen this little Brookman boy grow into a man who is about to marry a lovely lady! Another special little bit about our bride (and her momma), they were some of the FIRST to know that I was expecting baby boy #2! We had a consult booked for the day that Matthew and I found out we were pregnant and I couldn’t keep it a secret! I’ll never forget walking out of the coffee shop and Stacy asking if they could pray for me, my family, and our new little one. It was so so special!

Zach and Kylie chose to use their proposal location for their engagement session. I thought for sure that we would have to move locations after getting some initial shots. Never could I have imagined that this location would have some of the best light coming through the trees. You’ll see the glow and fall in love… just like we (I) did! I can’t wait to shoot their wedding day next June at A Pocket Full of Sunshine in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
