Aaron + Cassy | A Small Town Wedding

Cassy and Aaron’s day started like many Others. I walked into the building that morning to a crowd of family and friends already celebrating! Because I have known Cassy for so long (and because our hometown is relatively small) I saw many familiar faces, which I love! I was thrilled to shoot Cassy and her maids getting ready at Persimmon Woods Place, a spot many of you know I hold near and dear!

The entire day was a party, let me tell you! I quickly began to photograph her details and could easily see that our bridal party was going to be a fun one. The entire afternoon was sprinkled thick with laughter, music, and “Karcher” chants echoing across the property.

As the day progressed I made a note to watch the bride being doted on, not only by her groom but her maids as well. Not many people know what I know about this sweet bride. But those of you who know her, know just how much she deserves a man that adores her. I think Cass’ maids know, most of all, just how deserving she is of the kind of love she found with/in Aaron. Every second of the day one of her lovely attendants could be found brushing away happy tears, fluffing her dress, fixing her hair, or just watching Cassy and Aaron from the distance with the biggest smile on their face. Seeing them love this for her was so special!

The fun didn’t end once the ceremony started. The groomsmen pulled a fast one and flipped a coin to see if there were any objections to the nuptials. The entire crowd exploded in laughter. Thankfully, it landed in Aaron’s favor. Aaron and Cassy both had the entire place in tears reading their vows. A night of dancing ensued soon after. Jake, Cassy’s brother, performed a song he had written for their parents. They shared the sweetest moment on the dance floor as he sang. We celebrated a birthday and the graduation of two members of the bridal party. Basically, we had a blast. That is all there is to it.

To have known Cassy for as long as I have, being a part of their special day was truly an honor! Her sweet, spunky, and contagious personality radiates through her. After their May 8th wedding, I know Aaron is her perfect match.
