This St. Louis landmarks engagement session was extra special for me to capture. That burly guy look familiar? Yup, that’s my little brother! (GASP!!)
Megan and Dylan got engaged on the beach over the 4th of July holiday last year. A photographer friend of mine from the Destin area was able to capture Dylan’s proposal and the photos were amazing!
When they began wedding planning, they were sweet enough to let me be a part of their special day.
Since they have decided to wait until Megan finished school, we have extra time to plan some fun engagement photos through the next 4 seasons! Saturday’s photos were for our spring session in beautiful St. Louis, Missouri. During the session, we took advantage of the blooms in two well-known St. Louis landmarks. Forest Park and Lafayette Square Historic District were perfect locations for this sweet couple and their engagement photos.
I knew Megan’s more formal outfit was this perfectly blush sundress. So, I searched out the Lafayette Square area for a flowering tree that would compliment the dress and I think this tulip magnolia tree was amazing. But as I kept exploring, I also found this sweet townhome with a white and peach exterior that SCREAMED Charleston, SC mixed with STL notes. I knew I had to get them in front of it!
To finish off the evening, we made our way to Forest Park and the Emerson Memorial Basin. The bright bridges and fountains were a great addition to their casual spring outfits, and the glow of the sun setting was beautiful!
Megan and Dylan’s sweet affection towards each other was so sweet to experience firsthand. For that reason, it was my goal to translate that emotion in photographs. I believe that if there is anything you can feel from these photos it is that they truly adore each other.
Make sure to leave a comment for Dylan and Megan!
