Drake and Stephanie met when life sent them to Pensacola Christian College. What more could you ask for? A sweetheart that followed the Lord away to college. And that was a HUGE step for both of them. Drake moved all the way across the country from Washington state, Stephanie from Southern Illinois. You know how the story goes because I’m sharing their BIG DAY here on the blog!

Their day was the perfect mix of sweet simplicity and attention to detail. We started the morning at Inglenook Farms with a slight breeze which was great since the weatherman said it was going to be a scorcher! Drake and a few groomsmen put the final touches on the ceremony location while Stephanie snuck into the bridal suite.

When chatting with them before their wedding, they had decided they wanted to create a first look that was just between the two of them! I LOVED this because you don’t realize until after the crowd has gone home that you really haven’t gotten to spend that much time with the most important person… your HUSBAND/WIFE. I didn’t want them to regret that. Their first look was sweet. Drake may have teared up but swore it was “allergies” Ha! We know better, mister!

Come ceremony time they were beyond ready to make it “official”. Stephanie shocked the crowd with handwritten vows that were too precious for words. What shocked us all the most is that she did it with not one tear! Y’all, I was crying and her eyes had never been drier! Totally impressed. Drake had written his own vows as well and brought both his momma and mother-in-law to tears.

We wrapped up their most special day with sunset portraits and plenty of dancing!
